Hair Care Procedures for Black Hair!!!!!

Hello my wonderful Blog Fam, am really sorry for being a little quiet today. I've been a little busy all day from doing hair for few clients to cooking my own style red kidney soup. It was super yummy, watch out for the recipe too sometime soon.
Now then to the issue of the day. I get asked a lot of questions from my clients about what's best to keep their hair healthy and growing, what products to use and if its best to have their hair natural or relaxed. So i took it upon myself to do a bit of research, to get more knowledge on what way is best.
From my research, i found that you can create a procedure that works for you. Either relaxed or natural the main goal is to achieve a healthy and growing hair. You can use my procedures, its really easy.

Shampooing and Conditioning
Black hair is very different from so many hair types and its naturally dry so avoid shampooing your hair daily. Shampoo your hair once or twice a week, when you do this use a mild moisturizing shampoo such as the mizani, cream of nature  and motions. if shampooing is done too much it can cause dryness and breakage.
After shampooing, it is very compulsory to add a moisturizing conditioner. A deep conditioning treatment is required four times a month with products rich in protein and keratin that can be left on for 30mins-1hr home time.

Products.
Besides, shampooing and conditioning your Hair. You need to apply good moisturizers and hair products to the hair. I advice that you apply natural hair oil such as almond oil, Castro Oil, Olive Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Argan Oil, Profectiv hair products are really good too. They are not just good for hair growth, but also prevent brittleness. Avoid products with Petroleum.

Styling
When styling your hair, you should not expose it to too much of direct heat, such as flat irons, curlers and pressing combs. If the hair is exposed to heat, it is likely to be dry. If you want to keep your hair straight it's advisable to wrap it when going to bed at night so that you don't need to straighten it always, if you have natural hair it's good to have protective styles on such as braids, cornrows, twists etc.

Trimming
Trimming the hair ends regularly helps the hair to stay healthy and get rid of dry and split ends. i used to think trimming was cutting off my hair (lol) but trust me it is needed. The less you do to your hair the less trim needed, if your hair is in color and heat styled always then you have to be very diligent with trimming than people who use less chemicals.

Nighttime Care
I never knew this until i did my research, that there's a special kind of scarf you wear to bed. Its best to cover your hair with slippery material like silk or satin. Wear a bonnet cap, silk satin scarf. If you don't want to cover your hair sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase. Sleeping on cotton pillowcases can rob the hair of its natural oils.
