CHURCH ON THE BLOG: SPENDING TIME WITH GOD - JOYCE MEYER

Hello Guys, How are you  all doing today? How has your weekend been? Mine has been fab, although been a little down but i thank God for his faithfulness.

Now then on to why we are here, It's Sunday, YAY! I  love Sundays because i get to wear one of my best, go to church and praise God. What an awesomeness. I have not done this before but i had an urge to do it and i hope you like it.

Let me ask a candid question, how much time do we spend with God? God is real, so is heaven. Please and please let's take God serious and spend quality time with him. Matthew 6:33 says, " Seek ye first God's kingdom and all these things will be added on to them".  I pray God will reveal himself to us all.

Be blessed with this Joyce Meyers ministration.
Happy Sunday Guys!!! Love you all.

ARE YOU REALLY READY FOR MARRIAGE? ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS.

Dear SleektouchBBB readers, i came across this post on romancemeetslife.com as i was doing my normal blog updates. I thought it would be a wonderful idea to share it with you my lovelies.

What do you think about the following questions, am sure we don't want to make some mistakes or correct some we have made? i quite agree with some of them. please leave your comments and suggestions.

  1. If you believe strongly that you must always have the last say in an argument, you are not ready for marriage.
  2. If you don't like anyone invading your space, you are not ready
  3. If you're a lady, and you don't cook or don't like to, your marriage is not likely to be easy or funny.
  4. If you always say things exactly how they come to your mind not caring who is hurt, you're headed for a rocky and ultimately likely to crash marriage
  5. If you believe that you're who you are and no one can change that, you are not ready.
  6. If you think about others only when you've fully sorted yourself out, you are not ready.
  7. If you are so good at holding grudge and you'll only let go when you feel like, stay unmarried.
  8. If you're a man and you're not engaged in ventures or process in tie that financially take care of your immediate family and beyond, you need to give yourself a few more years to be ready.
  9. If you believe that women at best should be good in bed and kitchen affairs only, you'll end up having a bitter and subdued wife; stay away.
  10. If your mind can't conceive the thought of having a more successful wife, even if it's temporary, then you have a little growing up to do. Welcome to the real world, stuff happens.
  11. If as a man, you are easily swayed and pressurized to do things against your wish, you are not ready for marriage
  12. If you have no confidence in your ability and your future, you have no business taking someone else with you.
  13. If as a man you don't have a mentor or leader you follow, listen or defer to, you're not going to be able to lead your family.
  14. If you can't have a wedding ceremony within a budget you can personally afford,  you could either give yourself more time or  who says you can't have 20 guests or less at your wedding? cut your coat according to your size and take responsibility. As a man you can define how small or large you want your wedding ceremony to be and be able to handle it
  15. If you have an anger problem such that you can destroy things when you are angry, get a therapist to help you through managing it. Otherwise, engage God's help for the change you seek. With anger issues, you're disaster waiting to explode.
  16. Lastly, I will add if you don't like to have sex, maybe you are not ready for marriage, as this honestly breaks the home and relationship.
You can add yours too, just like i did added number 16. Please leave your comments below.

CELEB STYLE OF THE WEEK : MERCY AIGBE GENTRY

Our celeb style feature of the week is the stunning yoruba actress, Mercy Aigbe Gentry. I love everything about her style from head to toe. The way she puts her colours together is so nice and interesting sometimes. I can tell she loves her bags by the many she has acquired. She is also stunning in traditional attire.

Her tresses is always on point too. Her acting is also very good as she has played a lot of role in the yoruba movie scene.

I will call her style classy and chic.

BATTLE OF THE FOUNDATION : REVIEW ON MY DRUGSTORE FOUNDATION VERSUS MAC, LANCOME ETC....

                                                                                VS

                                                                               VS

Hello Gorgeous Dolls, How are you all doing? Hope your week is moving on swiftly in style. Mine has been great so far and am sure, yours will be awesome too.

Today, i will be talking about something interesting, some will people like to hear this, some don't, but if you want to save money a little and still get good satisfaction then you will be with me on this.
I love when am asked questions, it gives me the opportunity to do my research and possibly try out the products myself.
A while ago, i was asked by a client and a friend what foundation and make up i was using. I said MAC with a smiley face, because it's popular and most people use it. Few months after, i decided to try something different as i wanted to reduce my cost on makeup. MAC cost about 22 pounds and Drug store foundations cost between 10 -12 pounds; (Huge difference eh).  i decided to go for Maybeline  Fit in 350, L'Oreal in cappuccino as well as their concealer and Revlon color stay, i was asked again what foundation i used and i said i don't use MAC anymore. If am getting the same compliments when i use both, then there shouldn't be a difference, its either the way  i apply it or not.

If anyone asks me what foundation is better i will probably say Lancome or other big names like Mac, Bobby Brown etc, and i do recommend them to my clients too.
Trust me, since i started using Revlon Color Stay, Maybeline and L'Oreal, i haven't had a rough face as much as when i was using MAC, i believe different things work for different skin. It feels perfect on my skin and i love it.
I also use Lancome on my clients most of the time and they love the results. I also recommended it to friends.

The brushes and your method of application does matter too. I would recommend realTECHniques Brushes by Samantha Chapman, because i use it on both my self and my clients. Although, i am looking to buy the Essencia  Brushes which i will all do review on soon.

MY FACE WITH MAC FOUNDATION, NEVER GOING BACK.

Enjoy the rest of the week.

MIDWEEK JOKE: WHY NAME A CHILD A NAME YOU CAN'T PRONOUNCE???

Hello blogfam, how are you all doing? Few things happened over a short space of time, hence why i haven't posted in few days. We take for granted God's mercy over our lives at times, I want to thank God almighty for the gift of life and he's forever praised.
Now then to the topic of the day. Most of us know children are one of the most beautiful things ever, i absolutely adore them. I would like to give birth to 10 if possible (Amazeballs, Lol) or better still a football team but great funds will be needed, and you will want to give them the best of the best. If you would agree with me on that one.

That's not the issue, what amuse and kind of amaze me most is when i hear or see some African parents who name their children names they cannot pronounce. Please and please for the love of God, Don't. The child begins to say the name in a way you have taught them to say it. For instance, Forchune instead of Fortune or Kelechee instead of Kelechi and i know as Africans our  enunciation does not help us at all sometimes, or names like Agbelebumi (MY CROSS), how do you expect the child to explain what it means in school or any where. I have one of the longest name ever, and the reaction i get when people see it or ask what it means and they are like, WOW. I don't regret it but  I could have done better with some posh name (lol)

It's also important to know the meaning of some names before we use them. i would suggest we will look through some name books and website also these days, there are some websites with pronunciation option.
www.babynames.com,  www.babynames.co.uk, www.babycenter.com. These are examples of website you can visit.
What do you think guys,  let's get interactive, my thoughts and opinions. What would you name your children? Please don't not take it to heart as this a joke

ENJOY THE BEST OF TENERIFE, BY AYOBAMI SARAH.

A Sleektouchbbb reader and sister shares her experience in the beautiful city of Tenerife in Spain. If you are looking for a beautiful and affordable place to go then look no further.

I hope you all enjoyed the best of summer 2013,  I must confess it has been awesome. Now to the news, we (my sisters and my friend) boarded our flights from Stanstead airport to Tenerife in Spain for a week break after such a long time working. Tenerife is one of the many islands in Spain with it's beautiful scenery, nice shops, nice weather all year round and night life (mostly around Playa de las Americas). Each day was planned with different excursions and activities and we decided to rest on the last day just before leaving so that we are not too tired going back to work. I will let the pictures do the talking, enjoy.

Remember to live, love and have fun because life is too short.

DO IT YOURSELF- CLASSY AND ELEGANT UPDOS!!!

Birthday outfit and hair done by yours truly.

Hey dolls, how are you all doing? I hope you had a fabulous weekend, mine was awesome. Hopefully the week remains great too by God's grace.

As the summer is coming to an end and some of us have end of  summer parties to go, and  you want something classy and elegant to do your hair before you get your protective hairstyles done or you have run out of ideas, let me help you. The answer is an updo.

Updo is a very nice way to have a different look as it shows the beauty and features of the face and eyes, it can also be used as a transition hairstyle for when you have not decided on the next hairstyle you want to do.

Wearing a nice and unique hair plays a big part in the overall appearance of a person, although the type of hair you wear depends on the occasion .

First off to have updos you will need the following,
  1. Hair Bubble/ Ruffle
  2. Lots and lots of bobby pins to put the hair in place
  3. Smoothing gel/ Edge control ( i use ecostyler gel)
  4. Smoothing brush
  5. Holding Hair spray ( i use Elenett by L'Oreal)
and you are sorted for the day, it is also very affordable.

Below are some videos on how to achieve elegant updos, some of which i have tried my self. Hopefully i will start making videos soon.
Please do leave any questions and lots of comments below. Thanks for stopping by and have a brilliant week.
