NIGERIAN BILLIONAIRE FOLORUNSHO ALAKIJA UNSEATS OPRAH AS THE WORLD BLACK RICHEST WOMAN!!!!

Nigerian oil tycoon Folorunsho Alakija 62, is now the world's richest black woman. Her estimated fortune is $7.3billion. According to Forbes Oprah Winfrey is worth $2.9 billion.

The Mother of  four started her career as a secretary in a bank in the mid 1970's, she mentioned in one of her talk videos that she expected a promotion after she had done a banking course which she came 5th in, and moved in as a Treasury officer. She left the bank when university graduates were put above her.

She moved to England to study fashion design, following the completion she moved back to Nigeria and started her own fashion label, Supreme Stitches. But her biggest break came in oil.
In 1993, her company, Famfa Oil, was awarded an oil prospecting license, which later became OML, It's one of Nigeria's most prolific oil blocks, by persident Ibrahim Babangida.

The company owned 60 percent stake in the block until 2000 when the Nigerian government unconstitutionally acquired a 50 percent interest without duly compensating Alakija or Famda Oil.
In May 2012, Alakija challenged the acquisition and the Nigerian Supreme Court reinstated the 50 percent stake back to her company.

She also runs a charity called the Rose of Sharon that helps widows and orphans by empowering them through scholarships and business grants.
More power to your elbow, May your growth never run dry.

I am really indeed inspired by this and i pray we will all be great and rich in all areas of our different life's not necessarily pockets but wisdom is needed to do the right things in life. God will grant us the grace to take the right steps.
BE INSPIRED!!!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!

It's Black History Month again. The month of October is a special month set aside to celebrate great men and women who fought hard to keep the black race up on their feet and going. We appreciate them for their courage and how they have made the world a better place for us all.

Here on SleektouchBBB, I celebrate the great leaders we've had in the past, we have now and those we will have in the future. You've been an inspiration to me and am sure to large number of people out there. You made a part for all to follow and left a great mark for us all.

Slave trade is a significant example of what we went through. I remember when I went to the Liverpool International Slavery Museum (Thanks to my chief tourist officer Ife Bamidele, Thank you sir. May God continually uphold you with wisdom lol)
I saw some of the things people went through, I was angry and frustrated. I remember going round the rooms and reading those stories and I came across a dark room, all I could hear  at first was noises of people wailing and crying and i suddenly looked up and I saw a video or an illustration on how the slave trade movement was back in those days. I wondered how anyone could have gone through the pain and the long suffering.
Did you know that Liverpool ships transported half of the 3 millions Africans carried across the Atlantic by the British slavers? (WOW) How scary can that be?
To have successfully conquer the world and put an end to the act of racism and some many other disgusting acts. I salute you.

Those who have also strived hard to be successful and different in their ways. In person's of the following pictured below and many more. ( can't post too many pictures)

Once again i appreciate your hard work and how you have successfully inspired your world. God bless you all.
Be Inspired all.

Anointed Men of God, liberating the world through the preaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. I appreciate and pray that, May your lamp keep burning. (IJMN)

Last but not the least My mother, I celebrate you and i use you as a point of contact to celebrate great women out there. You are such an inspiration and you taught me all the great things i know about life. You give me the reason to keep going. Thank you so much for everything ma. Your courageous, fierce and fabulous. God bless you always.

To all young people out there, Be Inspired. You can be greater than all these people.
Please leave a comment below of your icons and a word to celebrate them.

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR COUNTRY NIGERIA? HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA !!!

How well do we know our beloved country? I will start by saying, if you can recite the national anthem followed by the pledge, then you know your country well. Well I can, than makes me a true citizen then. (lol)
Below is the national anthem to refresh our memory

"Arise O Compatriots" (1978 - Present)
Arise, O compatriots,
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our Fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labor of our heros past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.

O God of creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth we know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

Guys, you will agree with me that I tried a bit. Wow, this brings back memories of those days in my secondary school on the assembly line under the hot sun of punishment from those wicked teachers. (lol), But trust me they did a good job. I can never forget THEM.  And of course followed by the pledge (I can't stop smiling), We change the line 3 of the pledge to  To serve Nigeria is not by force.( LOL)

I pledge to Nigeria my country
To be faithful, loyal and honest
To serve Nigeria with all my strength
To defend her unity
And uphold her honour and glory
So help me God.

Nigeria is indeed a great country, but wait oh is this national anthem and pledge really us? Hmmmmmmmm. Let's think on how to make a change and try as much as possible to be what we sing and say. ( That's if we still sing it?) I think the governments can not do it alone, we all have a part to play. I believe one day, E GO BETTER.

Let's compare it to the old one. tell me which one you prefer,

"Nigeria, We Hail Thee" (1960- 1978)
Nigeria we hail thee,
Our own dear native land
Though tribe and tongue differ
In brotherhood we stand
Nigerians are all proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland

Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign
In peace or battle honour'd
And this we count as gain
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain

O God of all creation
Grant this one request
Help us build a nation
Where no man is oppressed
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.

I think I prefer the present one but the pledge is wrong. Well that's my opinion. What's yours?
